A systems-thinker looking to help companies realize their role in creating a more sustainable future. | avital@finchandbeak.com

Society is facing major sustainability challenges: from climate change and soil degradation, to poverty and hunger, and I believe that we all play a role in transitioning to more sustainable systems and structures. My goal is to help facilitate companies in fulfilling their role by making sustainability more accessible, understandable, and easy.

My background:

  • Msc in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University in Sweden
  • Bachelor in International Business and Management Studies from the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, the Netherlands (focus: business and human rights)
  • Previous work experience in Corporate Citizenship, social sustainability (UNGPs), and sustainable finance

Colleagues would describe me as:

Social, determined, analytical and ambitious

Which book should everybody read:

The Spirit Level by Kate Pickett and Richard Wilkinson which takes a structural look at the connection between income inequality and social wellbeing.

Best advice I ever got:
“Everyone can make a difference”

Something surprising about me:
I have lived in six different countries in the past 10 years & I have done an ab workout every morning since highschool.

What I do for fun:

  • Dancing
  • Being in nature (swimming, hiking, walking)
  • Hunting for unique vintage finds
