Sustainability professional aiming to unlock companies’ sustainability potential. | jonathan@finchandbeak.com
Studying economics opened my eyes to how global trade impacts governments, the environment and societies. Plans to pursue an academic career were put on hold however when I witnessed the effects of climate change, pollution and social inequality during my gap year travels. Eager to combat the most pressing challenges of our time, I decided to specialise in business & sustainability as companies have the necessary resources, minds and speed to effectively combat this trend. This is why Finch and Beak offers me the best opportunity to positively impact industry leaders and trigger an avalanche of change with each assignment.
My background:
Colleagues would describe me as:
Honest, friendly and driven.
Which book should everybody read:
Humankind by Rutger Bregman. Debunks the myth that humans are primarily selfish by walking through great historical examples demonstrating that humans primarily want to do good. The consequences of his thesis are far reaching, from the prison system to integration, participatory democracy and economic theory. A great read that sparks debates!
Best advice I ever got:
The only thing you can control in life is how you react to it.
Something surprising about me:
I lived in South Korea for 3 years.
