Sustainability professional aiming to help companies implement practical strategies yielding positive ESG results. claire@finchandbeak.com

In between studies and professional experience, I have seen the firsthand impact that companies can have in furthering progress towards a more sustainable world. In working with Finch & Beak, I look forward to helping companies take steps forward and implement real change.

My background:

  • Smithsonian Institute Coral Biology Institute, working on international coral preservation efforts
  • Developed Sustainability Checklist tool for Catalan SMEs
  • Data Visualization and Policy Analysis at National Journal
  • MSc in International Sustainability Management from ESCP including Sustainability consultancy projects with InFarm, Ecopreneur.eu, and ADEME
  • BSc in Environmental Science and Political Science from Emory University

Colleagues would describe me as:
Driven, Supportive, and Calm

Which book should everybody read:
This is Water by David Foster Wallace – This short book emphasizes the need for critical thinking in all facets of life and how to look beyond ourselves and strive to focus on the larger perspective—something that I believe is useful for any sustainability practitioner.

Best advice I ever got:
“Better to light a candle than curse the darkness.”

Something surprising about me:
I am a scuba diver and hope to one day dive on the Great Barrier Reef

What I do for fun:

  • Spending time in nature hiking and exploring
  • Trying out new recipes both sweet and savory
  • Reading new books to keep up with my two book clubs
