ESG Acceleration Webinar: The Business Case for Social Impact

Focus on making intangible social aspects more concrete and measurable
During this webinar we'll zoom in on how to get a grip on your company’s social impact, from direct employees to the wider society through impact measurement & valuation. Together with guest speaker Eric Mieras, Managing Director of PRé Sustainability, we're diving into the potential of impact measurement and valuation for business planning and concrete business cases - with a specific focus on the more challenging social side of impact. The approach will be illustrated with findings from European postal industry.

The webinar is part of the latest instalment of the ESG Acceleration Webinar Series hosted by Finch & Beak in February and March 2021, aimed at speeding up sustainability performance in the decade to deliver - especially during these challenging times.

Guest speaker Eric Mieras will introduce the impact measurement and valuation model that quantifies the company's environmental and social impacts, and the potential that the approach brings for integrating these impacts into business cases and strategic planning. From Finch & Beak's end, senior consultant Bas Nuijten will further zoom in on findings from Finch & Beak's forthcoming benchmark study on the status quo of impact measurement and valuation in the European postal industry.

How to get a grip on social impact

Key lessons to be learned during the session include:

  • Integrating environmental and social impacts in business planning and concrete business cases
  • How to make intangible aspects such as health and wellbeing concrete and measurable
  • What to do with social impact data, and how to use it minimize negative impact, increase positive impact, and as a whole improve the company’s ESG performance
