ESG Acceleration Webinar: Leveraging Your CSA Participation

Understanding and making the most of your CSA participation
This year S&P Global invites all companies that have been assessed or participated in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) in previous years, regardless of their eligibility for ESG indices, and companies whose sustainability performance is of interest to the broader investment community to participate in the CSA. This ESG Acceleration webinar is designed for companies that form part of this group and will cover an introduction to the CSA, elaborate on the relevance of the assessment in the ESG investment landscape, and provide practical tips & tricks for leveraging your company’s participation.

S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) is a helpful tool for companies to review and implement ESG strategies with positive impacts and sustainable value for all stakeholders. It empowers organizations to leverage the unique expertise and the proprietary methodology and database underlying the world’s most renowned sustainability indices.

This year’s assessment period for this group of invitees (not part of Group A or B) started on June 2 and will close in January 2023. While companies traditionally have six weeks to complete the CSA process, this longer assessment window will allow this group the flexibility to begin when reporting data for 2021 is available and when ESG-related policies and guidelines are most up to date. The 2022 S&P Global ESG Score will be available from Q1 2023 (based on submission date).

Leveraging your CSA participation in the best way

This practical and interactive webinar will be hosted by ESG benchmarking expert at Finch & Beak, Nikkie Vinke. As a presenter at past DJSI Expert Trainings organized by Finch & Beak, with eight years of international hands-on DJSI experience, working with multiple Industry leaders Nikkie is very well acquainted with the CSA and will break down the basics of S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) and provide best case examples that are relevant and practical.

Key lessons to be learned during the session:

  • Relevance of the CSA in the ESG investment landscape
  • Structure of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment
  • Main developments for 2022
