Lately, the circular economy has gotten a lot of attention. It been positioned as an important vision that mobilizes business strategies, clarifies the big picture and shows the connections, flows and feedbacks between systems.
Although the idea is inspiring, there’s still no clear view about how to transform circular economy into mainstream practices for sustainable innovation. We need to make sure that circular economy thinking will actually reduce the negative environmental and social impacts of products as well as increase the business impact. From a lifecycle perspective, we know that only closing loops is not always the best idea; it can even have negative consequences.
What is the impact on the business model of your company? How can you make a solid business case for sustainability in relation to a circular economy? What is the link between a circular business model and innovation? What strategic innovation opportunities can a circular business model bring for your company? Those are the questions we will address in the masterclass "Jump-starting the Circular Economy."
The -invitation only- Masterclass takes place on 18 February 2016 from 12:00-14:00 and will be hosted by Jan van der Kaaij of Finch & Beak and Eric Mieras from PRé Sustainability.
