Torres is a wineproducer situated in the Spanish region of Penedès, Catalonia. The family business started in the 17th century. The strong link that has been developed between traditions and an innovative business characterises Torres. In April 2010, Finch & Beak together with IMD (Lausanne) published a case study about sustainability at Torres.

Van Wijhe Verf is a Dutch family-owned business that has developed, produced and supplied coatings since 1916. The no-nonsense approach characterises Van Wijhe. Partly due to this mentality, the company has reached some important milestones, for instance the title ‘Business woman of the year 2010’ by CEO Marlies van Wijhe.
Case: The Innovation Story of Bavaria
Mid Februari 2013, the case “Bavaria and the Swinkels Familiy: Brewing a Sticky Brand” won the prestigious 2012 EFMD Case Writing Competition in the category “Family Business”. The case was written by Benoit Leleux, professor at IMD Lausanne and Jan van der Kaaij, managing partner at Finch & Beak and highlights the key success factors of challenger beer brand Bavaria.
