Customer Case: SCA's Sustainability Focus

Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA) is a large, Swedish producer of fiber, paper and personal hygiene products such as diapers, sanitary napkins and tissues. Originally, SCA is a large private forest owner. SCA manages these forests according to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)'s standards, which makes the company one of the largest suppliers of FSC-certified products.


Eneco & WWF Are Working on a ‘Living Planet’

Coca-Cola Joins UN Global Compact

New York, 8 March 2006. Reflecting the growing importance of corporate responsibility to the U.S. and international business community, The Coca-Cola Company announced today that it has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative. Coca-Cola Chairman and Chief Executive Officer E. Neville Isdell informed UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan of the company’s commitment to the Global Compact and its ten principles during a meeting at United Nations Headquarters.

Bits of Freedom Wins Ziggo Open Society Award

In 2010 Ziggo established the Ziggo Prize for the Open Society as a stimulus for safer internet. The initiative that has made the biggest contribution towards a transparent and safe internet wins the prize. The prize is awarded annually by an independent jury. This year, the Dutch NGO Bits of Freedom has proudly won the Ziggo Open Society Award.
